01

Why can two painful teeth have different treatment costs?

Different teeth and clinical findings can require different amounts of work. Canal anatomy, access, existing restorations and whether this is first treatment or retreatment matter. Pain severity alone does not tell you the number of canals or how difficult the tooth will be to restore.

Give the dentist previous records and explain when treatment was performed. Ask which findings are already established and which may only become clear during care. A responsible estimate can separate the expected plan from a possible change without presenting every contingency as inevitable.

02

Does the quotation include the filling or crown afterwards?

Check explicitly, because root canal work and the final restoration are different parts of preserving the tooth. A crown is not automatically required for every tooth; the remaining structure, tooth position and bite influence the choice. A temporary filling should not be confused with completed long-term restoration.

Ask for the intended sequence and the proposed restoration by name. If a build-up, post, onlay or crown is recommended, ask why it is needed in this tooth and whether its fee is included. Confirm when the tooth can be used normally rather than judging completion by relief of pain.

Is a one-visit price directly comparable with a multi-visit plan?

Not on visit count alone: compare the diagnosis, work included and completion plan. Clinical requirements determine scheduling. A short appointment is not proof of a simpler case, and a one-visit promise should not replace explaining how the tooth will be treated and protected.

Clarify whether the quoted amount is per tooth, per stage or per visit. Ask what happens financially if another appointment becomes necessary. If you have limited time in Egypt, separate the canal-treatment dates from the laboratory and restoration dates before making fixed travel arrangements.

04

Should I choose extraction because its initial fee is lower?

The initial fee alone does not compare equivalent outcomes. First establish whether the tooth is restorable and the prognosis of retaining it. If extraction is appropriate, discuss whether and how the space needs replacing, and include that plan in the comparison.

Ask the dentist to explain preservation, retreatment or replacement options that actually fit the findings. No guide can decide that your painful tooth must be saved or removed. A second opinion can be useful when the recommendation is unclear, especially before an irreversible procedure.

05

What should I send when asking Gemini about the cost?

Describe the tooth, symptoms, previous root canal or crown and any available records. Ask how to share those privately and request an assessment at Kazan Plaza, Zayed. Patients travelling from 6th of October attend this same clinic, so include time for any return visits.

Do not delay urgent care to collect multiple prices if you have increasing swelling or feel unwell. Breathing or swallowing difficulty or swelling affecting the eye requires emergency medical care. For a planned visit, leave with the treatment scope, payment terms and next-stage costs understood.
